Fluorspar Market Weekly Report (Oct 17 – Oct 23, 2026)

Fluorspar Market Weekly Report (Oct 17 – Oct 23, 2026)

The ex-factory average price of 97% fluorspar concentrate powder in China this week stood at approximately RMB 3,650 (about USD 547) per tonne, edging down slightly compared with early October. Prices remained steady across most regions, with minor declines seen only in a few areas.

Domestic fluorspar mining in China is constrained by safety inspections for non-coal mines. Progress on mining right renewal and mine resumption has been slow. Nevertheless, mines and beneficiation plants already in operation in key producing areas maintain stable output. Spot inventories of fluorspar remain low, and miners are reluctant to release cargo at discounted prices. Imported fluorspar from Mongolia provides steady supplementary supply to the Chinese market, yet its overall impact on market pricing is limited.

On the demand side, demand for conventional refrigerants stays weak, while demand for high-end fluorine-containing new materials remains stable without substantial growth. Most downstream buyers adopt hand-to-mouth purchasing and show little willingness to chase price hikes and build up large stocks. Supported by rigid demand, buyers remain cautious and only restock as needed.

As fluorspar is classified as a strategic mineral resource, China continues to enforce environmental and safety inspections on mines. Supply is expected to stay constrained over the long run, underpinning fluorspar prices, while operational costs for mine operators keep rising.

In summary, the fluorspar market was largely stable this week. Looking ahead, high-grade fluorspar ore is scarce and inventory levels are low, prompting mine operators to hold firm on prices and withhold sales. However, downstream hydrofluoric acid producers are mostly on the sidelines and purchase only to meet immediate requirements. Fluorspar prices are forecast to stay relatively stable with mild fluctuations.

Maohe Import And Export (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. owns fluorspar mines in Mongolia. We supply high-grade fluorspar with CaF₂ content ranging from 80% to 99%. As a direct source supplier, we guarantee consistent and reliable deliveries.
