Fluorite, chemically calcium fluoride (CaF₂), is a typical halide mineral and the primary global feedstock for fluorine supply across fluorochemical, metallurgical, glass and ceramic industries. It forms endogenously from magmatic hydrothermal activity. During magma cooling, magma-separated hydrothermal fluids are rich in fluoride constituents.
